Ajax defender Daley Blind has supposedly attracted the interest of Anderlecht.According to a report in AD/Sportwereld, reigning Belgian champions Anderlecht are closely monitoring the situation of promising youngster Daley Blind, currently under contract with Dutch giants Ajax.
The Brussels side are eager to add some more depth to their back-line in the January transfer window and sporting director Herman van Holsbeeck supposedly sees the 20-year-old Blind as the perfect addition to the Anderlecht roster.
Blind is a product of the Ajax youth academy, but the versatile defender has so far failed to secure regular first team football at the Godenzonen. The Holland under-21 star spent the second half of last season on loan at Groningen and impressed with a number of excellent performances.
Nevertheless, Ajax coach Martin Jol is apparently not impressed with Blind's potential, as the defender has mainly been warming the bench so far this term.
The young defender's current contract with Ajax runs until the summer of 2013, but the Amsterdam side could be tempted to cash in on Blind in January if a good offer comes in. Groningen are also believed to be interested in signing the defender this winter.
