Young attacker Nacer Chadli has attracted the interest of reigning Eredivisie champions Twente with his strong performances for Eerstedivisie side AGOVV last season, if a report on RTV Oost is to be believed.

The Tukkers are in the market for attacking reinforcements following the departure of Miroslav Stoch, Blaise N'Kufo and Wellington earlier this summer and new head coach Michel Preud'homme supposedly sees Chadli as the perfect signing.

Chadli is a product of the Standard Liege youth academy, but the versatile forward failed to break into the first team at the Rouches. He then joined AGOVV after a brief spell with MVV and quickly became a key player at the Blauwen.

The 20-year-old attacker's excellent performances last season didn't go unnoticed elsewhere and clubs such as Heracles, Heerenveen and Lille have all been linked with the forward in the past couple of months.

However, Twente now appear to be sitting in pole position to secure his services. AGOVV have reportedly set a €1 million asking price for Chadli.
