If a report in the Daily Mail is to be believed, Premier League outfit Everton are closely monitoring the situation of young midfielder Leroy Fer, currently under contract with Dutch powerhouse Feyenoord.
The Toffees are in the market for a new midfielder due to the ongoing uncertainty about the future of Mikel Arteta and Steven Pienaar, and manager David Moyes supposedly considers Fer to be a good replacement.
The 20-year-old Fer is a product of the Feyenoord youth academy and made his official debut for the Rotterdam side in December 2007. He has so far made 76 Eredivisie appearances, scoring nine goals in the process.
Fer has an ongoing contract with Feyenoord, but the financially plagued outfit could be tempted to cash in on the holding midfielder if a good offer comes in. Everton are believed to be ready to make a €4.5 million bid for the Holland under-21 star.
