Eredivisie powerhouse Ajax will have to make do without Serbian attacker Marko Pantelic due to injury when they lock horns with AZ on Sunday and head coach Martin Jol has made it clear that South Korean youngster Hyun Jun Suk could be the one replacing him.
"Hyun Jun Suk is only 18 years old and offered his services to Ajax by himself. We didn't scout him or anything. Therefore, I'm not sure whether he's ready to make his debut yet," said Jol at a press conference.
"It would be rather strang for Suk to make his debut this weekend, but it wouldn't be the first time I've done something like that. Suk is a good player and he always does his utmost. He has impressed at Jong Ajax.
"I have more options though. Siem de Jong and Luis Suarez can also play as central attackers. However, De Jong is not really an attacker, so there's a chance 'Sukie' will play."
The 18-year-old Suk signed for Ajax in 2009 after a successful trial period and made his debut for Jong Ajax earlier this season.
