It seems that the time has come for promising teenager Rep to depart his homeland, with Amsterdam likely to be his next home...
The 19-year-old is considered an exceptionally hot prospect in his homeland, but he has found it hard to progress in recent times, especially as his club side NK Celje have struggled in their domestic league this season.
Rep only made his senior debut in February but has since done enough to earn a call-up to the Slovenian Under-21 squad on three occasions. In addition, he played for his nation at last summer’s Under-21 Championships in Sweden, though Slovenia picked up only a point and were routed 7-1 by England in their final game.
Reports suggest that the creative midfielder would set the Amsterdam ArenA outfit back around €1 million.
Martin Jol’s side are presently third in the Dutch league but hold little hope of claiming the title as they are nine points behind leaders Twente with half of the season played.
