The young defender could leave Ajax on a temporary basis...Ambitious Eredivisie side Groningen are closely monitoring the situation of young Ajax defender Daley Blind, according to a report in Voetbal International.
The Green-White Army are eager to add another defender to their squad following the lengthy injury absences of Sepp de Roober and Ondrej Svejdik and Blind appears to be the top candidate to strengthen Groningen's defence.
The 19-year-old Blind made his league debut for the Amsterdam side last term and eventually made five Eredivisie appearances. However, the versatile youngster has mainly played his matches at Jong Ajax this term.
Ajax aren't likely to offload Blind on a permanent basis, but the Europa League hopefuls could well decide to farm the young defender out on a six-month loan deal.
