AZ Defender Hector Moreno On Lille Radar - Report
The Mexican centre back has attracted the interest of Lille...
Reigning Eredivisie champions AZ will possibly have to make do without Mexican defender Hector Moreno after Ligue 1 side Lille expressed an interest in the centre-back.
The French outfit are desperate to add another defender to their squad in the winter transfer window following the injury lay-off of Nicolas Plestan, and head coach Rudi Garcia reportedly considers Moreno to be the perfect addition to his squad.
The 21-year-old Moreno's current AZ deal is due to expire in the summer of 2012, meaning that the Alkmaar side won't let go of the Mexican international on the cheap.
Lillle are believed to be ready to table a €3.5 million offer, but it appears unlikely that AZ will accept such a bid.
However, AZ could be forced to cash in on Moreno following the club's financial troubles and Lille will be more than happy to take advantage of the Dutch side's financial worries.
