Keisuke Honda Heading For VVV Exit But New Club Under Wraps
The Japanese playmaker has made it clear that he'll leave VVV this winter...
Eredivisie outfit VVV will have to make do without star player Keisuke Honda after the winter break. The Japanese playmaker has made it clear that he will move on in January.
"I have made a decision about my future. I will play my last match for VVV on Friday evening. I will not reveal my new club just yet, but it will definitely be a surprise for some people," Honda told Japanese reporters.
"I have a really good feeling about my new club. I will feel right at home and this is the perfect next step in my career. Negotiations between the clubs are still ongoing, but I expect the transfer to be a done deal by December 22."
Honda rose to prominence this term with a number of excellent performances in the Dutch Eredivisie and several big clubs are believed to be keeping tabs on him.
PSV, Feyenoord, Ajax, AZ, Liverpool, Chelsea and Everton have all been linked with a move for the attacking midfielder, but CSKA Moscow appear to be lying in pole position to sign Honda.
