Ajax Keeping Tabs On Boca Juniors Starlet Nicolas Gaitan - Report

The Argentinian youngster could be on his way to the Eredivisie...

Nicolas Gaitan - Boca Juniors
According to a report in Argentinian newspaper Clarin, Eredivisie giants Ajax are closely monitoring Boca Juniors playmaker Nicolas Gaitan.

Ajax head coach Martin Jol is reportedly far from satisfied with the performances of attacking midfielder Ismail Aissati and has continually expressed his desire to add a creative midfielder to his squad.

The 21-year-old Gaitan is reportedly one of the main targets for the Amsterdam giants during the January transfer window. The gifted playmaker is a product of the Boca Juniors youth academy and made his first team debut in June 2008.

However, it remains to be seen whether Ajax have the financial resources to make a move for Gaitan in the near future. The Amsterdam side reportedly need to offload several players before adding to their ranks again.
