The Tukkers are looking for a long term replacement for the ageing Kenneth Perez and head coach Steve McClaren apparently sees Massi as a good replacement for the Danish playmaker.
The 22-year-old Massi has been one of the absolute star players at Swedish second division side Syrianska in the past couple of seasons and his good performances didn't go unnoticed.
Twente reportedly face stiff competition from several Allvenskan sides and fellow Eredivisie outfit Heerenveen in the race for the signature of the young midfielder.
