Ajax Midfielder Rasmus Lindgren Could Return To Sweden - Report

The Swedish midfielder is heading for the Ajax exit...

Rasmus Lindgren has been in the spotlight for Ajax Amsterdam
Ajax midfielder Rasmus Lindgren could very well be on his way out of the Amsterdam ArenA in the upcoming winter transfer window, according to a report in Ekstra Bladet.

The Danish newspaper suggests that Brondby IF are closely monitoring the situation of the holding midfielder and they could be tempted to make a move for Lindgren come January.

The 25-year-old joined Ajax from Groningen in January 2008, but has failed to make an impact after a good start at the Amsterdam powerhouse. Lindgren has mainly been plying his trade with the Ajax reserves this season.

Brondby face stiff competition in the race for Lindgren's signature though. Swedish teams such as IFK Goteborg, AIK Stockholm and IF Elfborg would all be more than happy to add the midfielder to their ranks, too.

Ajax are keen to part company with Lindgren and an offer in the region of €1 million would probably be enough to lure him away from his current team.
