PSV Target Schalke Forward Halil Altintop - Report
The Turkish attacker could be on his way to the Eredivisie...
The highly rated attacker is finding regular first team football hard to come by at the Konigsblauen this season and is ready to move on in order to get first team action elsewhere.
Altintop joined Schalke from Kaiserslautern in the summer of 2006 and has made 94 league appearances for the Gelsenkirchen side so far, scoring sixteen goals in the process.
The 26-year-old's current contract at the Bundesliga side is due to expire in the summer of 2010, meaning that he could leave his current side on a free transfer next year.
PSV coach Fred Rutten reportedly is a keen admirer of the Turkish international and would be more than happy to add Altintop to the PSV squad.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Eindhoven giants are capable of meeting Altintop's wage demands.
