Formation: 4-2-1-3

Goalkeeper

Ohad Levita (RKC): The Israeli goalie single-handedly helped his side to the full three points against NEC with a superb display on Saturday evening. Levita pulled off world-class saves to deny Saidi and Bjorn Vleminckx.

Defence

Kurt Elshot (NAC): The experienced defender is back to his best form after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to injury. He capped a good performance with a great goal after 15 minutes. Elshot was always dangerous going forward and his runs down the right wing were a joy to watch.

Douglas (Twente): The Brazilian defender was able to cope with the threat of the Ajax attacking line. He largely kept the Eredivisie’s leading scorer, Luis Suarez, at bay. Douglas competed for every ball and was solid as a rock in the Twente defence.

Andreas Granqvist (Groningen): Granqvist helped his side to the lead minutes before the break when he converted a spot kick. The towering centre-back was very strong in the air and hardly put a foot wrong throughout the game.

Dwight Tiendalli (Twente): Outstanding display from the versatile Twente defender. He made two excellent tackles to deny Suarez, and his well timed intervention on Emanuelson near the end was defending at its very best.

Defensive Midfield

Otman Bakkal (PSV):
The versatile midfielder capped a fine performance with a good goal after 50 minutes of play. Bakkal has been in fine form this season and his intelligent runs off the ball are a huge attacking weapon for the Eindhoven side.

Theo Janssen (Twente): Janssen delivered the free kick that led to Twente's winning goal. In addition, he totally outplayed Ajax star Demy de Zeeuw in midfield. The former Vitesse star provided his back line with excellent cover whenever needed and showed some accurate passing.

Attacking Midfield

Roy Beerens (Heerenveen): Beerens was one of the best men on the pitch in Heerenveen’s 3-2 away win in against Utrecht. The tricky winger went by his marker like he was a puppet more than once and set up Viktor Elm for the important opener.

Forwards

Danko Lazovic (PSV): Lazovic set up three of his side’s five goals against ADO Den Haag and was simply outstanding. The Serbian attacker sent in numerous dangerous crosses and caused his opponent all kinds of trouble with some good individual moves.

Ola Toivonen (PSV): The Swedish youngster repaid his coach's faith in him with an outstanding performance. Toivonen scored a hat-trick before the interval and added one more to his tally after the break.

Tim Matavz (Groningen):
The youngster came off the bench on the half hour mark to replace the injured Morten Nordstrand and was vital in his side’s 4-1 win against Heracles. Matavz netted a brace in the final third of the game to seal the deal for the Green-White Army.
