Feyenoord Coach Mario Been Satisfied With AZ Draw
The Feyenoord gaffer has reflected on his side's away draw against AZ...
Ivorian attacker Sekou Cisse opened the scoring for Feyenoord after only five minutes of play before Brett Holman levelled the score after the break. Feyenoord coach Mario Been was not too disappointed with the final result though.
"The equalizer was a bit of a blow for the lads and some of them appeared to be afraid to leave the pitch empty handed. However, we never stopped fighting and AZ hardly created any chances," said Been in the press conference after the match.
"It was important for us to bounce back from last week's heavy defeat to Ajax. I am quite satisfied that we have recorded a draw here. The players deserve a compliment."
Feyenoord currently sit fourth in the league with 24 points from thirteen games.
