Feyenoord Closing In On Right-Back Dani Fernandez - Report
The Spanish defender appears to be on his way to Feyenoord...
According to AD/Sportwereld, Eredivisie giants Feyenoord are on the verge of signing Spanish defender Dani Fernandez. The right-back played on loan at NEC last season.
The Rotterdam side will part company with defenders Serginho Greene and Theo Lucius this summer and new Feyenoord head coach Mario Been reportedly sees Fernandez as the perfect addition to his squad to help replace the duo.
Feyenoord have been chasing the 26-year-old for some time now, but they expect to complete the deal within days. Dani Fernandez is owned by a third party, Dmitri Selyuk, and this has reportedly hindered negotiations.
The right-back has also attracted the interest of several other teams, however, Fernandez has made it clear that he'd be delighted to join Feyenoord.
