AZ Coach Louis Van Gaal In Bayern Munich Flirt
The experienced manager has made it clear that he'd be delighted to coach the German outfit...
Bavarian side Bayern Munich are far from satisfied with the way things are going under head coach Juergen Klinsmann at the moment and the former Germany boss could face the sack should he fail to scoop the Bundesliga title this campaign.
This hasn't gone unnoticed in the rest of Europe and several managers are being touted as possible replacement for the beleaguered manager, with AZ coach Louis van Gaal the latest name being linked to Bayern Munich.
The successful manager has made it clear that he won't renew his AZ deal, which expires in 2010, and targets a move to a big club.
"I'm not interested anymore in joining a small team. However, I can definitely see myself in charge at a big team such as Bayern Munich," Van Gaal told NRC Handelsblad.
"The AZ president and the fans want me to extend my stay at the club and become AZ's Alex Ferguson. However, I still have the ambition to coach a big team or a national side and I will certainly leave AZ in 2010."
