Lensky Leaves Feyenoord
Canadian winger Jacob Lensky leaves Feyenoord and returns to his home country for personal reasons...
Versatile midfielder Jacob Lensky will leave Dutch giants Feyenoord. The youngster has decided to return to Canada to attend to non-footballing matters.
‘Jacob Lensky has told us that he wants to quit professional football for personal reasons,’ said technical director Peter Bosz to the official Feyenoord website.
‘As far as we know he has decided to return to Canada. It’s a disappointing decision for the club, but we accept his wish to return home and wish him all the best. The footballer Lensky is a bright talent and everybody at Feyenoord was expecting great things from Jacob in the near future.’
The Vancouver born player arrived in Europe at a young age. He started his career at Scottish giants Celtic and moved to Feyenoord in 2006. The 19-year-old Lensky only made one league appearance for the Rotterdam side.
