Park Ji-Sung says QPR are big in South Korea now

The new Rangers man said the profile of the West London outfit has already been boosted in his homeland since his signing, labelling the club 'famous'
New QPR signing Park Ji-Sung says his move to the West London club has already boosted its profile in his native South Korea.The 31-year-old former Korea international joined Rangers from Manchester United last week, while compatriot Ki Sung-Yueng has also been heavily linked with a move to Loftus Road.
“In Korea they didn’t know much about QPR. They only focus on Korean players playing for clubs like Man United, Sunderland, Arsenal and Bolton," Park said according to West London News.
“But after the last few days a lot of people in Korea now know about QPR and they’re famous. The media in Korea now talk a lot about QPR.”
Meanwhile, news has emerged former Guangzhou Evergrande boss Lee Jang-Soo thwarted a proposed move by the Chinese club for Park's services last year.
Lee told JTBC he didn't wanted his compatriot to remain in a top European league rather than move to the developing Chinese Super League.
Goal.com reported the proposed move in July last year, where Guangzhou allegedly offered to double his Red Devils salary and Park confirmed the deal too.
“They offered more money than QPR but for me Europe is still the best place to play so I wanted that challenge,” Park said.
