Official: Former K-League Rookie of the Year Jung Jo-Gook leaves AJ Auxerre for FC Seoul

The South Korea international will return to FC Seoul after 18 months in France, where he decided to leave following Auxerre's relegation from Ligue 1

South Korea international striker Jung Jo-Gook has left AJ Auxerre to return to former club FC Seoul.

The K-League outfit confirmed the deal which comes following Auxerre's relegation from France's Ligue 1.

The 28-year-old made more than 250 appearances for Seoul, winning the 2003 K-League Rookie of the Year award, before penning a two-and-a-half-year deal with Auxerre in June 2011.

Jung spent time on loan at Nancy last term, scoring two goals in 21 appearances.

Seoul are currently second in the K-League, one point behind leaders Jeonbuk Motors who Jung is likely to make his debut against next Wednesday.
