Park Ji-Sung: It's time for Park Chu-Young to show his performance, not words

The Manchester United midfielder believes the former South Korea skipper now needs to focus on his Arsenal career to get back in the national team picture
Former South Korea international Park Ji-Sung has weighed into the Park Chu-Young debate, stating the Arsenal striker needs to prove himself with performances rather than words.Park Chu-Young held a press conference on Wednesday apologising for letting down the fans with his decision to defer his compulsory military service for almost a decade in order to allow him to continue his European career.
Previously, the 26-year-old's decision and failure to publicly explain it, led to national team coach Choi Kang-Hee excluding him from their squad for recent games against Spain, Qatar and Lebanon.
However, the former South Korea skipper now appears set to represent his country at the 2012 London Olympics after clearing the air, although his senior national team future remains unclear, with opinion divided on Wednesday's apology.
Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung weighed into the debate by stating the former Monaco striker needs to perform at club level, before he can regain his national team spot.
"I have not seen the press conference but heard the news. As Chu-Young explained his situation and apologized, it's time to show his performance, not words," Park Ji-Sung told reporters.
"I think he's a quality player who can show his ability for national team and Arsenal. I hope he can focus on getting back his form now."
