South Koreans abroad: Lee Chung-Yong returns for Bolton after long-term injury absence
The young midfielder made his long awaited return from a broken leg, while Ji Dong-Won provided an assist for Sunderland and Koo Ja-Cheol scored in Germany
Lee Chung-Yong made his first Premier League appearance since May 22 last year but it was an unhappy return as relegation embattled Bolton threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with West Bromwich on Sunday. The popular South Korean midfielder came off the bench on 82 minutes to a special reception after breaking his leg in a pre-season friendly.
Bolton were leading 2-1 when Lee was introduced but it was heartbreak for the Trotters, when the Korean lost James Morrison at the back post and he lashed home a dramatic 90th-minute equaliser.
Elsewhere, Ji Dong-Won marked his first start since December with an assist in Sunderland's 2-1 defeat away to Fulham.
Ji laid the ball off to Phil Bardsley with a gentle pass, with his team-mate powerfully drive into the back of the net for a 34th-minute equaliser before Mousa Dembele's winner.
The start was just Ji's second of the season, and first under manager Martin O'Neill. The Korean was replaced on the hour mark for Nicklas Bendtner.
