Word on the Tweet: Sturridge 'gutted' while Ferdinand revels in Neymar masterclass

The England striker took to Twitter to air his grievances following the Three Lions' World Cup exit, while the ex-Manchester United defender was left agog by the Brazil superstar
With England eliminated from the World Cup, Tuesday's clash with Costa Rica represents a dead rubber for Roy Hodgson's men, but Daniel Sturridge is set to start up front.

Yet another cap will do little to alter the striker's mood, with the Liverpool star "gutted" to be heading home early.

Brazil suffered no such heartbreak - Neymar scoring twice in a 4-1 win over Cameroon on Monday - and ex-England defender Rio Ferdinand hailed the Barcelona forward on Twitter following his brilliant performance.

Netherlands also tasted victory - beating Chile 2-0 - and Memphis Depay could not hide his delight after the game, while Jurgen Klinsmann thanked USA fans for their support after their 2-2 draw with Portugal on Monday.
