The Brazil full-back claims he does not consider reports linking the Spanish giants with the Colombia star as a threat to his own place at Camp NouDani Alves insists he would consider any move from Barcelona to sign Juan Cuadrado as a personal motivation.
Cuadrado, who currently plays for Fiorentina in Serie A, has been one of the stars of the World Cup so far, contributing three assists in victories over Cote d'Ivoire and Greece to date.
Barcelona have long been credited with an interest in the player, who is now fully owned by Fiorentina following their purchase of the full rights to the player from Udinese.
But rather than consider interest in the 26-year-old as a threat to his place at Camp Nou, the Brazil international has insisted that he would be encouraged by the arrival of another star player.
"It [the interest] doesn't bother me. On the contrary, he is an excellent player, young, has had excellent performances with his club and with the Colombian side.
"You see that your club seeks quality to be able to complete. For me it's a motivation."
Dani Alves will likely start for Brazil in their final Group A match against Cameroon in Brasilia on Monday.
