The 30-year-old says he is happy to play wherever the team needs him, providing it is on his natural side of the pitch
The versatile defender has featured both on the left and on the right for the national side in the past few years, but he has made it clear that he would rather not play left-back any longer.
Lahm has been turned into a holding midfielder by Pep Guardiola this term, but he remains happy to play in his old position at right-back as well if that's where Low needs him.
"I have said a number of times now that I don't want to play at left-back any longer and my stance hasn't changed," Lahm told SID.
"If I had to choose between left-back and right-back, I would choose right. I don't have any preference if I had to choose between right-back and holding midfielder, though.
"I feel more like a midfielder at the moment, because that's where I have played most of the season. But I have no doubt that my position will be all clear before we travel to Brazil."
