The Oranje will undergo a 10-day training stage in Hoenderloo before facing Ecuador in a friendly at the Amsterdam Arena on May 17.
Only players plying their trade in the Eredivisie have been selected as the rest of the squad complete their respective league seasons, with the remaining internationals set to join up at the end of the month.
Van Gaal will announce a 30-man pre-World Cup selection on May 30 ahead of flying to Portugal where Netherlands will complete their preparations for the tournament. That selection will then be reduced to a final list of 23 names.
Oranje face Ghana on May 31 and Wales five days later.
