The Germany forward is pleased with the confidence in the squad, while his team-mate Miroslav Klose is not thinking about breaking Gerd Muller's goalscoring record

Germany forward Marco Reus has voiced his belief that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is among the best strikers on the planet ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Sweden.

Joachim Low’s men demolished Republic of Ireland 6-1 on Friday and head into Tuesday's Group C match full of confidence.

Reus was thrilled with their excellent performance, but warned against underestimating the Scandinavian side and their star, the Paris Saint-Germain striker.

"That was once again the football we know from Germany," the Borussia Dortmund player told Fifa.com.

"Ibrahimovic is an absolute world-class player, but we will play on Tuesday with a our heads held high."

Veteran forward Miroslav Klose is optimistic about their chances against Sweden and dismissed talk of him surpassing the country’s goalscoring record, with the Lazio man just three behind Gerd Muller's tally of 68.

"If we can prepare properly for the game and a few things go our way, we will get a result," the 34-year-old said.

"Much has been written [about the record], but it is best if I keep my mouth shut and concentrate on football."
