Sao Paulo forward Adrian Centurion was shown a straight red card for spitting on an opponent in the dying minutes of his side’s 3-1 Copa Libertadores Round of 16 second-leg away loss to Toluca.

The 23-year-old Argentine came off the bench after 56 minutes in order to try and help his side, but ended up losing his cool and was sent off in the dying minutes of the match.

Despite the defeat, his side have qualified for the quarter-finals of the competition after their 4-0 win in the first leg.
