Speaking at Wembley alongside James Richardson, Staunton lauded the Bundesliga giants' attack as "untouchable".
He argues: "Bayern's strike force has had too much for a lot of teams already this season, and I don't think Arsenal's notoriously precarious backline will be any different."
Much will depend on how possession is shared in Tuesday's contest, and while UK correspondent Greg Stobart believes Bayern will control proceedings, he insists the Gunners can still trouble Jupp Heynckes' side.
"Arsenal's main weapon is looking to get Wilshere, Cazorla and Arteta on the ball, and playing a longer pass in behind for Walcott to use his pace," he said. "I think that's how they'll try to hit Bayern Munich.
"But the main problem for Arsenal is how much they have to chase the ball, because if Wilshere's not on the ball they're not going to score."
