Speaking at Wembley alongside James Richardson and Goal.com International football writer Paul Macdonald, Peter said: "The one thing Leonardo and Ancelotti have done well [at PSG] is they've assembled a squad in such a way that they have kept a cohesiveness within the side even though the playing staff has largely been overhauled since the Qatari owners took control of the club.
"In that respect I think that PSG could justifiably in my opinion go all the way, and I think we could be looking at a club who could be at Wembley come May."
When the two teams meet on Tuesday one of the most intriguing battles will be that of the respective side's star strikers, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Roberto Soldado.
While Soldado has scored four goals in this season's Champions League compared to Ibrahimovic's two, Paul Macdonald believes the Sweden international offers more overall.
"Soldado is very important to Valencia, he is the fulcrum to their attack and he has four goals in the Champions League this season. But let's not forget all four goals were against BATE, a very weak team in the group stages," he said.
"I think we need to look beyond Ibrahimovic's goals to see what he brings to PSG. Along with the gravitas and mystique, he also contributed five assists in the group stages, more than any other. Yes, Soldado is important to Valencia but Ibra is one of the key elements to the PSG team and everything flows through him."
Do you agree with Peter's view that PSG could win the Champions League? Will Ibrahimovic be the key player versus Valencia? Let us know your thoughts.
