thumbnail Hello,

Only from one camera angle can it be seen how Cavani notched his hat-trick goal.

It was a bumper day of Serie A action on Sunday. There was an incredible 4-4 draw between Milan and Udinese and a remarkable piece of skill from Josip Ilicic in Palermo's draw at Chievo.

But the performance of the day came from Edinson Cavani, the Uruguayan striker claiming a hat-trick in the 3-0 win over Juventus.

Cavani's first two goals were scored with his head and from pretty much all angles his third looked like a diving header of the highest quality.

On 101 Great Goals we proclaimed it as a "hat-trick of headers", Goal.com reported "Cavani stooped low to head Hamsik’s angled cross into the net" and Paolo Bandini in The Guardian wrote how "he plunged down to crash home a stunning diving header".

Now, with the help of one camera angle on the goal, it turns out we were all wrong (as were the Italian press) as Cavani, quickly establishing himself as the signing of 2010-11, instead scored an incredible scorpion kick, reminiscent of Rene Higuita.

Edinson Cavani's incredible scorpion kick that nobody saw against Juventus is on the video below.
