Cristiano Ronaldo is leading the Real Madrid charge to keep on the coat-tails of Barcelona and his individual statistics this season are simply incredible.
The Real Madrid number seven has now scored 22 goals in La Liga after his hat-trick against Villarreal in the 4-2 win last night and he literally took down the Yellow Submarine almost single handedly as he also set up Kaka's fourth goal.
In total Ronaldo has notched 30 goals in 28 games and he is well on course to hit around 60 goals if Real Madrid maintain their charge in all competitions.
The Portuguese forward tapped in the first equaliser on nine minutes and then had a goal disallowed before equalising for the second time with a close range header on the stroke of half-time.
In the second half Ronaldo continued to torment the Villarreal back line, scoring his hat-trick with a fine turn and finish before setting up Kaka for the fourth (gleefully celebrated by Jose Mourinho).
