It's been a while since a footballer disgraced themselves with a shocking act of cheating, but Rangers' goalie Allan McGregor redressed the balance last weekend in the SPL.
Playing away at Hibernian in a match which Rangers won 3-0, the Gers number one covered himself in shame as he tried to get opponent Derek Riordan in the referee's notebook by hitting the deck as if he'd been shot by a sniper.
McGregor's play-acting was despicable.
Looking to exploit a coming together between the pair, McGregor faked receiving a headbutt from Riordan as he clutched his head in supposed agony before over-dramatically crashing to the turf. As the TV replays showed however, there was not even a whiff of contact between the parties, leaving McGregor looking like a cheating scumbag.
