After a false start in Ligue 1 for the French champions, they head to the San Paolo to play their final friendly of the summer and our tipster is expecting it to be a tough trip
The French side had a poor start on Friday, having to come from behind to draw with Reims 2-2 in their first away trip of the new campaign. It was Zlatan Ibrahimovic who was the saviour for the champions last week, with the Swede netting twice to rescue a point, although he did also miss a penalty.
Napoli's Serie A season starts on the final day of August, with Rafa Benitez's men facing Chievo at home. So far, the Italians have played PAOK and Barcelona in pre-season, beating both.
The Partenopei finished third in Serie A last season, 24 points behind champions Juventus and seven adrift of second-placed Roma. Despite not being able to get near their title rivals, Benitez's side have qualified for a Champions League play-off place but face a tough test in Athletic Bilbao in order to progress to the group stage. William Hill price them at 6/4 (2.50) to win their latest pre-season match.
PSG will be keen to bounce back from a disappointing start to their competitive season, but it remains to be seen whether a full-strength side will travel to Italy, especially with a home league match scheduled for next Saturday.
Laurent Blanc's side haven't had much recovery time so expect some fringe players to get an opportunity to impress the coach. PSG had a goal filled pre-season, scoring 19 goals in six games, conceding 10. William Hill price them at 2/1 (3.00) to win, with the same firm pricing the draw at 23/10 (3.30).
With the visitors likely to concentrate on their upcoming domestic assignments, it's tough to see how they are closely matched in the odds for this clash. A competitive fixture on Friday means a number of their top players are unlikely to make the trip, despite Blanc wanting his side to get back to full match fitness.
Napoli, minus Gonzalo Higuain, beat Barcelona in pre-season last week. With the Italians looking extremely solid, you can expect the same from Rafa Benitez as he approaches this fixture. The price of 7/5 (2.40) will not be around for long and is certainly worth backing when you consider PSG prioritising their league campaign.
