With a strong squad travelling to Germany to take on a lower league side tentatively preparing for their new season, Al Hain-Cole expects Harry Redknapp's men to come out on top
Having secured an immediate return to the Premier League thanks to a dramatic playoff final victory over Derby County last season, the Rs are 10/11 (1.91) favourites with William Hill to get their top-flight preparations off to winning ways on Tuesday.
With the 3.Bundesliga set to kick off this weekend, the Germans are on offer at 23/10 (3.30) to end pre-season on a high note with victory at the Steigerwaldstadion, while the draw is priced at 13/5 (3.60).
With high earners such as Loic Remy and Adel Taarabt absent as they seek to secure a move away and only free transfer Rio Ferdinand having joined the club so far this summer, Harry Redknapp will travel to Germany with more or less the same group of players who secured promotion last season.
While this may not excite too many supporters, the continuity of selecting an established starting 11 may play into the manager's hands against a distracted opponent.
With their season almost upon them, the hosts are unlikely to display too much of a competitive streak in fear of picking up an injury, providing QPR with a nice and easy way to ease themselves back into the swing of things.
In such a match, you would expect the cream to slowly rise to the top, and there is little doubt as to which of the sides boast the superior quality in their ranks.
Even without Remy and Taarabt, the likes of Joey Barton, Jermaine Jenas and the returning Esteban Granero are surely experienced enough to help their team to victory.
All things considered, those odds of 10/11 (1.91) seem too good to pass up on the visitors securing a morale-boosting victory against a modest opposing team that finished in mid-table in Germany's third tier last season.
