But recently, things have turned a little sour for Fabregas at Camp Nou, with an unsuccessful season on the horizon, a likely change of management in the summer and after being jeered by home fans during the 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao.

Gerard Pique has spoken out against the fans targeting their frustration at Fabregas, saying:
"I think it is a mistake to focus on just one player. Blame it on the players, okay, but not just Cesc. The season has not been good and I think we are all part of a group that haven't quite got things right."
Despite having plenty of time on the pitch and contributing more assists in this campaign than any other Barcelona player, Paddy Power make Arsenal 8/11 (1.73) favourites to be the next club to sign Fabregas while Manchester United can be backed at 5/1 (6.0).
It is believed that Arsenal have a buy-back clause which would allow them to bring Fabregas back to London for €29 million but any potential deal surely hinges upon the upcoming decision by the Catalan giants on whether or not to offer the 26-year-old a new contract.
Those talks are expected to take place at the end of the season, the point at which the highest value could be sought for the player if the club decide against an extension given the remaining time on his current deal.
Although the ties with Arsenal are obvious and somewhat justify the short price available on the Gunners bring the next club to sign Fabregas, Manchester United's impending wholesale changes could make them an interesting contender for the Spain international's signature at 5/1 (6.0).
Fabregas was one of the first transfer targets David Moyes publicly acknowledged an interest in at Old Trafford and although his pursuit of the player bore no fruit, it will be interesting to see if the next United boss - widely expected to be Netherlands coach Louis Van Gaal - will see the player as a potential target to form part of the re-building mission at United this summer.
At the moment the market suggest the two Premier League clubs are the only realistic contenders for the services of Fabregas, with Bayern Munich (10/1), Chelsea (16/1) Manchester City (20/1) and Paris Saint-Germain (20/1) way back in the betting.
Transfer markets are often tough to read but Fabregas's situation certainly seems as if it could be well worth monitoring over the coming months, especially if no new deal is forthcoming from the Liga side.
