Rayo Vallecano-Villarreal Betting Preview: Why the visitors can score at least twice

With Rayo's defence the worst in the division, Phil Kitromilides believes a talented Villarreal side should be backed to net over 1.5 goals at a price better than evens
Struggling Rayo welcome Villarreal to the Spanish capital on Monday night desperately looking for their first home league win since October.

Paco Jemez's side have been extremely disappointing at the Estadio Vallecas so far, losing each of their last four league matches and Betway offer them at 11/5 (3.20) to end that run with a win.

Villarreal, meanwhile, hit a slight dip in form before the Christmas break, managing just one win from their last five league encounters, yet are offered at a healthy looking 23/20 (2.15) to claim three points. A draw between the two sides can be backed at 12/5 (3.40).
Rayo's woes stem from their chronic inability to keep clean sheets and the 40 goals they have conceded in just 17 league games show how bad things are at the back for them.

They have easily the leakiest defense in the division and with Villarreal handy in front of goal, backing the visitors to score two or more could be an excellent selection.

The Yellow Submarine are offered at 21/20 (2.05) to score over 1.5 goals with Betway, a bet which has paid out nine times in their matches this season.

Furthermore, Rayo have conceded at least twice in seven of their previous eight league matches, giving this bet a great chance of providing us with some profit as the visitors look to get back to winning ways.
