Rayo Vallecano - Real Valladolid Betting Preview: Backing the match to be all square at the break

Our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides is expecting a tight game in Friday evening's game and has a selection in mind at 21/20
Five matches without a victory for Valladolid have seen them slip down to just above the relegation zone in La Liga, while by contrast back-to-back wins for Rayo have elevated them to the relative comfort of 14th place in the table.

Valladolid have not won away from home in 11 games, yet curiously enough their last win on the road came against Rayo back in February and the visitors can be backed at 5/2 (3.50) with Coral to repeat that success.

Rayo for their part enjoyed a superb campaign at the Estadio Vallecas last season winning nine matches and they will be aiming to recapture some of that form with a win on Friday evening which is offered at 23/20 (2.15) by the same firm. The draw is available at 11/5 (3.20).

Having conceded a staggering number of goals in their opening six games Rayo have shored things up at the back in recent weeks keeping consecutive clean sheets.

Valladolid are always a tough side to break down and showed their competitiveness in their last away match at the Camp Nou going in level at the break against the champions.

This looks like it could be a one of those tight Friday night games which La Liga often serves up and backing the draw at half time at 21/20 (2.05) could be a shrewd move.

This bet has paid out in all four of Valladolid's away games this season as well as in each of Rayo's last two matches and at the price quoted offers punters the chance to more than double their money.
