thumbnail Hello,

After some big-priced winners in the last round of World Cup qualifiers, Phil Kitromilides is backing Fatih Terim's men to lead the Dutch either and half-time or full-time

Three wins in a row have put Turkey in pole position to clinch second place in Group D ahead of Romania, and another victory against runaway leaders Holland would all but guarantee their spot in the play offs.

It won't, however, be easy for Fatih Terim's side against a rampant Dutch side, who qualified months ago, but still turned on the style to rout Hungary 8-1 on Friday night.

Even with nothing to play for, the Dutch remain imposing opposition and Paddy Power price an away win in Istanbul at 7/4 (2.75). Turkey, meanwhile, are offered at 11/8 (2.38) with the draw available at 13/5 (3.60).

While it is difficult to oppose the Dutch, Turkey have been hitting some form of their own, netting nine unanswered goals during that aforementioned three-game winning sreak.

Turkey to be ahead at half-time or full-time is offered at 10/11 (1.91) and is worthy of some consideration. Burak Yilmaz has been in superb form netting in each of his last four international matches and generally leading the line like a striker of genuine calibre.

He is more than capable of causing the Dutch some problems, while it is also worth noting that Holland have conceded in three of their last four matches, including against Estonia and Hungary.

Turkey are infinitely more talented than either of those two countries and will be a tough prospect at home.

As a result, backing the home side to lead at half-time or full-time is a bet that has paid out in six of their last eight matches and looks to offer some value.
