San Jose Earthquakes - Colorado Rapids Betting Preview: Why goals at both ends look likely

With both sides regularly finding the back of the net, Phil Kitromilides believes both teams to score is the best bet for Wednesday night's game
An important game in the race to make the play-offs sees an in-form San Jose side host the Rapids, who are a place and four points above them in the Western Conference.

With three wins and a draw in their last four games, the Earthquakes are gathering some momentum and can be backed at evens (2.00) with Paddy Power to record another victory.

Meanwhile, Colorado, whose away form has been patchy, are offered at 5/2 (3.50), with the draw available at 23/10 (3.30).

Yet one bet stands out a mile when considering this game - and that is both teams to score.

If the Earthquakes do make the play-offs it will be because of their excellent home form, with San Jose unbeaten in their own backyard since March.

They have also regularly found the back of the net at home, scoring in 13 of their last 14 matches.

The Rapids, for their part, have not been winning many games on the road, have been scoring, netting in 10 of their last 12 away fixtures.

With those statistics in mind, the odds of 4/5 (1.80) offered on both sides finding the back of the net appear to be pretty generous.

Both teams to score at 4/5 (1.80) 1.5pt stake with Paddy Power
