Almeria-Barcelona Betting Preview: Why the champions will score at least twice in the first half

Our La Liga expert Phil Kitromilides believes the Catalans will take advantage of a weak Almeria defence at least two goals in the opening 45 minutes
A trip to the south-eastern corner of the Iberian peninsular awaits for the Spanish champions as Barcelona visit an Almeria side who have been entertaining to watch so far this season.

The entertainment value of the Andalusians stems from the fact that they look exciting going forward and have goals in them, yet at times their defending is woeful which has led to some goal-filled encounters. William Hill price Almeria at 12/1 (13.00) while Barcelona are offered at just 1/16 (1.17).

Barca showed in the opening 15 minutes in midweek against Real Sociedad just how descrutive they can be when they click, and we should expect another goal filled victory for the Catalans.

That they will score plenty looks even more likely when considering Almeria's defensive record so far this season which has seen them fail to keep a clean sheet, conceding at least twice in every match they have played.

Bearing this in mind then, backing Barca to score over 1.5 goals in the first half at 23/20 (2.15) looks like a superb bet, at an attractive price.

This bet has paid out in three of the Blaugrana's matches so far, but Almeria's wobbly defence will surely struggle to cope with the visitors.

Against Atletico Madrid a couple of weeks ago Almeria conceded twice in the first half, and there is every chance against a rampant Barcelona they will do so again on Saturday evening.
