With the Premier League season commencing next weekend, our tipster Hugh Wilson looks at the potential hitmen that will find the net this campaign
It was the Manchester United man who came out on top in the goals department, netting 26 times to win the golden boot for the second year in a row. Despite a tough pre-season for the Netherlands international, he was back amongst the goals in the Community Shield on Sunday.

|Robin Van Persie||7/2|
These odds are short, but for a man who knows where the goal is, expect him to take centre stage for United again this season.
Maybe surprisingly, Sergio Aguero is second favourite with Betway, with the firm pricing him at 8/1 (9.00). The Argentinian striker showed glimpses of his first season form for Manchester City last year, but injuries restricted him to only 12 goals in the league.
In the previous season, his first at the club, Aguero netted 23 times, including a last minute winner against QPR to secure the title for City.
His odds are a tad short this season, when you consider the other strikers Manuel Pellegrini has brought in.
For those who fancy Gareth Bale to resist a move to Real Madrid and stay at Tottenham, you can get him at 14/1 (15.00) to finish up on top of the scoring charts.
With his future up in the air and a move to Spain looking likely, it’s hard to see him recreating the form with all the speculation surrounding him.
One of the surprise packages of last season was Miguel Michu for Swansea. The Spanish player was brought in for just £2 million and was fighting it out with Van Persie for top goal scorer throughout the first half of the season. Despite his 18 goals last term, he is 40/1 (41.00) with Betway to continue finding the net.
A bet that stands out is Romelu Lukaku, who has returned to his parent club Chelsea this summer after a fantastic campaign at West Brom, where he scored 17 league goals.
The Belgium international has been hugely impressive over the pre-season period, scoring plenty of goals, including a last minute winner against Roma this weekend.
If Jose Mourinho’s pre-season friendly team selections are anything to go by, then expect Lukaku to play a major part this season. The odds of 22/1 (23.00) to him to win the golden boot are especially tempting if you were to back him in an each way bet.
