Getafe - Real Sociedad Betting Preview: Why an away win looks on the cards tonight

After three winning selections over the weekend, our Spanish expert Phil Kitromilides believes the in-form Basques should have no trouble recording a win tonight
Playing with the swagger that comes from a 15 match unbeaten run, Real Sociedad are inching closer to securing the final Champions League spot in La Liga.

Valencia's win on Saturday however has kept up the pressure on the Basques who need a victory this evening to restore their five point advantage over the side from Mestalla.

Paddy Power price an away win tonight at evens (2.00) while Getafe are offered at 5/2 (3.50).

The side from the suburbs of Madrid are a familiar limbo situation, having amassed enough points to ensure safety but not enough to challenge realistically for Europe.

Three defeats in a row certainly suggest Geta's players have switched off for the summer, while three goals scored in their last seven matches is hardly a threatening return.

There is little to suggest that Luis Garcia's men can get a result against a La Real side who are flying.

Backing an away win looks tempting in any case, yet the price of evens (2.00), where one could readily have expected Real Sociedad to be odds-on, makes this an excellent value selection.

For some higher odds backing the visitors to score in both halves at 15/8 (2.88) looks a great option. Philippe Montanier's men are the highest scoring side in the division outside the top two, with this bet paying out on for of their last six games. Against a Getafe side devoid of confidence and motivation, it has every chance of doing so again.
