Manchester City-West Ham Betting Preview: Expect the dethroned champions to bounce back in style

Roberto Mancini's men saw their bitter rivals claim the Premier League title this week, and Al Hain-Cole expects them to take out their frustrations on the travel-sick Hammers
Having already surrendered their Premier League crown to their fiercest rivals, Manchester City will be playing for pride when they face West Ham in Saturday's early kick off.

Defeat against Tottenham last weekend was the final nail in the coffin for their title challenge, and Roberto Mancini’s men will be desperate to bounce back against another London side in front of their own fans.

Home form has certainly not been the problem for last season's champions, and they are overwhelming 1/4 (1.25) favourites with Coral to pick up their 13th win in 17 league games at the Etihad.

Unbeaten in five games, West Ham have a top 10 finish firmly in their sights, but seem highly unlikely to pick up just their fourth away win of the Premier League season at such a daunting ground, as the 11/1 (12.00) odds testify.

However, the Hammers successfully held City to a draw at Upton Park back in November, and are available at 9/2 (5.50) to frustrate them once again here, as they recently managed against Liverpool and Manchester United.

The City fans will take some cheering up after seeing their noisy neighbours secure the title, and a morale-boosting win seems more than likely if recent home form is anything to go by.
The hosts have won nine of their last 10 games in their own back yard, scoring 25 and conceding none on the way to those victories, so will be confident of overcoming a side who have struggled on their travels.

Considering Sam Allardyce's men have scored just 10 goals in 17 away games this season, odds of 6/5 (2.20) look very inviting on Mancini's men to win to nil yet again on Saturday.

One man who is bound to get the home crowd on their feet is Carlos Tevez, who has bagged seven goals in his last five games at the Etihad, and opened the scoring in each of the last three.

The Argentine offers attractive value at 7/2 (4.50) to get the ball rolling once against a team that have conceded first in 10 of their last 12 on the road.
