thumbnail Hello,

Rafa Benitez's side remain at the head of the market after the news they will face the Swiss side in the next round. Fenerbahce will face Benfica in the other semi final

Chelsea remain outright favourites for Europa League glory after being drawn against Basel in the semi-finals of the competition.

Europa League Winner
Team Pre-Draw Post-Draw
Chelsea 11/10 6/4
Benfica 2/1 15/8
Basel 6/1 7/1
Fenerbache 13/2 6/1
Rafael Benitez's men started the day as 11/10 (2.10) favourites for the title and they have remained that way following what is deemed to be a favourable draw by BetVictor for the only remaining English side in the competition.

Basel overcame Tottenham in the last round and although they have been pushed out to 7/1 (8.0) by BetVictor to win the tournament, they showed enough in their last trip to London to worry Benitez and his staff.

The Swiss side will play the first leg of the tie at home as they were drawn first.

Of course, if Chelsea were to win the trophy they would be the holders of both the Europa League and the Champions League titles and they would be the first team to do so.

Fenerbahce, conquerors of Lazio in the quarter finals, were the first team drawn out by Ruud van Nistelrooy and they will face Benfica who got the better of Newcastle 4-2 on aggregate in the last round.

The Turkish side will play the first leg at home and their price has been moved out slightly to 6/1 (7.0) with BetVictor.

Benfica overcame Newcastle after securing a 1-1 draw at St James' Park which meant a 4-2 aggregate win for the Portuguese side. They have been trimmed to 15/8 (2.63).

The semi-final ties will be played on 25th April and 2nd May with the final being played at the Amsterdam ArenA on 15th May.
