New Royals manager Nigel Adkins will be hoping that his side can taste victory against the Saints but Willie Duncan is backing the away side to pile on the agony for the hosts
The Royals have lost their last six Premier League matches though and now sit rock bottom of the table so Adkins knows that it is imperative that his side arrest that alarming sequence of results with victory this weekend.
Reading are chalked up at 2/1 (3.0) with Bet365 to claim their first Premier League victory since the beginning of February while the Saints, who now sit in 12th place in the table, are rated as an 11/8 (2.38) chance with the same firm to take all three points this weekend.
The draw is available at 12/5 (3.40) with Bet365 for those who think there won't be much between the two sides.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have impressed in recent weeks, recording victories over Liverpool and Chelsea either side of the international break and they appear to represent outstanding value to claim victory against a Reading side who have conceded 61 goals in the Premier League thus far this term.
Reading have failed to keep a clean sheet in 11 Premier League matches in 2013 while Southampton have kept just one clean sheet in their last eight matches so Bet365’s 4/5 (1.80) that this match features three or more goals looks to represent good value.
The best bet though, appears to be the 11/10 (2.10) for the Saints to strike at least twice, that is a price that should be snapped up by shrewd punters.
Southampton have won just two of their 15 away matches so far this term but are excellent value to heap more misery on the rock-bottom Royals this weekend and so Bet365’s outstanding 8/1 (9.0) quote for Mauricio Pochettino’s men to enjoy a repeat last week’s 2-1 win over Chelsea when they visit Madejski Stadium is the value selection here.
|Southampton to score two or more goals at 11/10 (2.10) with Bet365
