thumbnail Hello,

Pete Nordsted hit two winners in his last column and he's analysed the statistics ahead of this weekend's Premier League action to provide another two tips

Well, a fortnight ago we recorded a nice double as table-toppers Manchester United recorded a 1-0 victory over Reading and surprisingly Fulham beat Spurs 1-0, so in the two matches both teams did not find the net.

As always here we are following a system bet and you are advised to keep stakes reasonable and always try and obtain the best price available.

This weekend both selections again come from the Premier League. However, I believe this week may be a little trickier proposition as in one game we do have some conflicting stats.

For our first match we are once again sticking with the champions elect Manchester United, who travel to the Stadium of Light to meet a Sunderland side who look to be struggling to score goals at the moment.

Martin O’Neill’s side have been poor of late and are still not guaranteed safety from relegation. Looking at the recent head-to-head encounters against Alex Ferguson’s men, we see that they have only taken one point from the last five meetings at the Stadium of Light.

Indeed, looking at these matches more closely, Sunderland have only scored once in the last five meetings and when facing the Premier League elite sides both teams have scored in only six of their last 15 home matches.

United do have a fairly strong record away to teams of Sunderland's grading and have won seven of the last 10 with both teams scoring in only three of these matches. The "No" option on the both teams to score market can be backed at 5/6 (1.83) with Bet365.

For our next match we head over to the Etihad stadium for another north-west meets north-east clash. Champions Manchester City face a Newcastle side who have also had a tough season, failing to match the heights of the last campaign which saw them qualify for Europe.

Here it has to be said that we do have some mixed stats, as both teams have scored in 11 of Newcastle's last 14 away games. However, when we look at the form of Roberto Mancini’s side when facing teams of Newcastle’s stature, we see that they have a very strong record. City have won 13 of the last 15 and 12 of these matches have been to nil.

The "No" option on the both teams to score market can be backed here at 4/5 (1.80) with Bet365. However, for those a little braver, Manchester City can also be backed to win to nil at 11/10 (2.10) again with Bet365.
