Italy-Brazil Betting Preview: Why both teams to score looks to be a strong selection

With both sides finding the net with ease in recent matches, Phil Kitromilides is backing goals at both ends on Thursday evening
Despite being a friendly played in the eternally neutral settings of Geneva, the most eye catching match in this week of international games sees Italy take on Brazil.The hosts of the World Cup in 2014 have improved the quality of friendly opponent in recent months with Luiz Felipe Scolari's side having played Colombia, Argentina and England in their last three games.
That they have failed to win any of those matches might have contributed to them being priced at evens (2.00) by Bet365 to overcome Italy on Thursday evening. The Azzurri, meanwhile, have faced France and Netherlands in their previous two matches, also failing to claim victory and Cesare Prandelli's men are offered at 11/4 (3.75) to record a win in this game. The draw can be backed at 12/5 (3.40).
It would seem however, that there is one bet that stands out a mile here and that is both teams to score, offered at the seemingly generous price of 9/10 (1.90).
Since their 4-0 humiliation at the hands of Spain in the final of Euro 2012 some eight months ago, Italy have managed to find the back of the net in each of their last seven matches.
Brazil for their part have scored in each of their last 10 matches and backing them to get on the scoresheet always seems a wise move.This bet has paid out in each of Italy's previous four fixtures and in each of Brazil's last three games.
Given all this, plus the undoubted attacking talented of two of the world's best sides, the price of 9/10 (1.90) is certainly bigger than one might have expected and should certainly therefore be invested in.
For a value bet try backing a 1-1 draw at 11/2 (6.50) which given the fact that a tight game could well be in prospect, looks a decent option.
