Despite winning countless plaudits for maintaining a consistently competitive Everton team, the one thing missing from David Moyes’ tenure on Merseyside is a piece of silverware.

The Scot’s chances of rectifying that shortcoming this season lie in the FA Cup, where his side host Wigan in a quarter-final clash this weekend.
