Real Betis-Osasuna Betting Preview: Why 2-3 goals is the best bet for the match in Seville
Our La Liga expert Phil Kitromilides believes, in a tough game to call, backing a small number goals is the option most likely to return profit and has a 13/2 value bet
After playing a large part in arguably La Liga's most entertaining match this season (Sunday's 3-3 draw at Real Sociedad), Real Betis welcome Osasuna to the Benito Villamarin hoping for the three points which would move them level with Malaga in fourth place. While Betis' form has gone a little awry in recent weeks they remain tough to beat at home where they are undefeated in their last six matches. BetVictor price them at 9/10 (1.90) to record to their sixth home win of the season and on paper that looks generous.
Yet Osasuna, who a few weeks ago looked like real contenders for relegation, have been resurgent over the last month with three wins and a draw in their last five games. An away win which would move the men from Pamplona eight points clear of the drop zone can be backed at 18/5 (4.60), with the draw offered at 5/2 (3.50).
In theory this should be a home win, yet Betis are a frustrating and erratic side at home, capable of beating Real Madrid and losing to Mallorca.
The six goals they have scored in their last two matches ended a run of four games without finding the back of the net, and a lack of consistency is what will probably end up costing them a place in Europe next season.
Osasuna for their part are a deeply unspectacular side, but they have been scoring recently and have netted in six of their last seven matches including in all of their last four away games.
In a game like this then backing 2-3 goals to be scored looks to be the perfect bet and at 4/5 (1.80) it is well worthy of consideration. This bet has paid out in five of Betis' last six home games and in both of Osasuna's last two away matches, and gives punters plenty of chances of making some profit.
For a value bet try backing a 1-1 draw at 13/2 (7.50) given that it could be a low scoring match but both sides have managed to find the net with some degree of regularity.
