Pete Nordsted: Two weekend tips from the Both Teams to Score market
Our expert profited from Chelsea's win over West Brom last week and this weekend he has a tip from the Premier League and one from La Liga, both priced at evens
Last weekend we managed to find one winner from two selections when Chelsea had a narrow win to nil against West Bromwich Albion to take some pressure off Rafa Benitez. As always, we are following a system bet and you are advised to keep stakes reasonable and always try and obtain the best price available.
This weekend our two selections come from the Premier League and La Liga. Our first match features two sides who have possibly been the surprise packages of the season when West Bromwich Albion host Capital Cup winners Swansea City at the Hawthorns.
When Steve Clarke's side have hosted teams of Swansea's grading, then both have scored in five of their last 10 home matches. However, when we look at Michael Laudrup’s side the stats paint a completely different picture. When the Swans have visited sides of a similar grade to the Baggies both teams have scored in only three of their last 10 away games and indeed if we take this further both teams have scored in only three of Swanseas last 15 away games.
The above stats suggests that if we are going to see a draw then the 0-0 scoreline should not be discounted and this has been seen in three of Swanseas last six away games. With a low scoring game looking favourable Under 2.5 goals also looks reasonable value at 17/20 (1.85).
The "No" selection on both teams to score can be backed at Evens (2.00) with bet365.
For our next match we head over to La Liga for a clash between two sides who are heading toward midtable obscurity this season: Rayo Vallecano-Espanyol. When Rayo have hosted teams of Espanyol’s grading, seven of their last 10 home games have seen only one side scoring. When taking this further and looking at their general play we see that both sides have scored in only five of their last 19 home games.
When it comes to Espanyol the stats are not as strong, however both teams have not found the net in 6 of their last 10 away games when facing similar opposition, and in seven of their last 10 away games in general including their last four.
The stats above are very strong in terms of the home side’s record in this market and the "No" selection on both teams to score can be back at a very appealing Evens (2.00) with bet365
